This statement outlines our accessibility principles, scope, implementation, evaluation, and improvement procedures.

1. Accessibility Principles
- We aim to comply with WCAG 2.2 (Level AA), KWCAG 2.2, EN 301 549, and applicable parts of the U.S. ADA.
- Accessibility is a mandatory evaluation criterion integrated into product roadmaps and QA processes.

3.1 Visual Accessibility
- Maintain minimum text contrast ratio of 4.5:1 (3:1 for large text).
- Provide alternative text (alt/semanticsLabel) for images and icons.
- Ensure clear labels, hints, and error messages for interactive elements.
3.2 Auditory & Multimedia Accessibility
- All key features remain usable regardless of visual or auditory ability.
- For user-uploaded videos, captions or text summaries are recommended where possible.
3.3 Operability
- Full support for screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack) and assistive input devices.
- Logical tab order and focus management, with gesture alternatives provided.
3.4 Understandability
- Clear, consistent terminology and instructions.
- Error messages include guidance for resolution.
- Localization (AppLocalizations) ensures consistent regional formats.
3.5 Robustness
- Semantic HTML + WAI-ARIA principles for web; Flutter Semantics tree for apps.
- Automated accessibility testing integrated into CI pipelines.
4. Compatibility and Technical Specifications
- Assistive tech: VoiceOver, TalkBack, on-screen keyboard, switch control, Braille displays (where supported).
- Supported platforms: Latest two versions of iOS/Android, Chrome, Safari, Edge.
- Tech stack: Flutter, Firebase Hosting, Semantic HTML, WAI-ARIA.

5. Known Limitations and Alternatives
- User-uploaded media may lack captions or alt text.
- Third-party embedded content (maps, payment, video) may not follow our standards.
- All essential info is available in text-based formats upon request (.txt, .md, etc.).
6. Reasonable Accommodation
If users face accessibility difficulties due to disabilities or device environments,
we provide reasonable accommodations such as alternative formats, procedural adjustments, or direct assistance.

7. Feedback and Complaints
- Submission: “Settings > Accessibility Feedback” (in-app, gradually applied) or email legal@trip2gather.app
- First response: within 15 business days with resolution plan or result.
- If unresolved, users may contact relevant public authorities.
8. Evaluation and Conformance
- Method: Self-assessment, automated testing, and user feedback.
- External audit: Annual third-party verification planned.
- Status: Partially conformant (target WCAG 2.2 Level AA).
- Gaps: Missing alt text in UGC, limited control over embedded content.
- Improvements: UGC upload guidance, alternative links, increased test coverage.
9. Governance, Procurement, and Training
- Accessibility gates during design/code review and QA.
