Trip2gather Advertising Disclosure Policy (English Version)

This Advertising Disclosure Policy (“Policy”) ensures transparency and user protection for all advertisements, sponsored content, affiliate links, and commercial communications displayed within Trip2gather (“Service”).

1. Purpose

Trip2gather aims to ensure:

  • Clear labeling of advertising and sponsorship,
  • Prevention of user confusion, and
  • Transparency of advertiser and partner responsibilities.

This policy forms part of the integrated governance alongside
Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines.


2. Definition and Scope of Advertising

Advertising includes both operator-provided ads and user-generated commercial content.

Type Examples
Display Ads Google AdMob, AppLovin banners and interstitials
Content Ads Sponsored posts, affiliate links, co-branded campaigns
Reward Ads Rewarded videos or actions offering in-app incentives
Affiliate Links External links to partner sites (travel, booking, etc.)
Promotions Discounts, events, or co-marketing collaborations

3. Advertising Labeling Principles

  1. Ads and sponsorships are clearly labeled as “Advertisement,” “Sponsored,” or “Paid Partnership.”
  2. Ads must be visually distinguishable from regular content.
  3. Content ads must identify the advertiser or partner name.
  4. All ads must comply with Trip2gather Community Guidelines.
  5. No ads targeting minors or containing age-restricted material are permitted.

4. Advertising Data & Personal Information

  1. Third-party networks (e.g., Google AdMob, Firebase SDK) may be used for ad delivery.
  2. Device identifiers (GAID/IDFA), IPs, and OS info are collected with user consent.
  3. Interest-based ads are optional and can be disabled at any time.
  4. Data is processed anonymously; personal identification is not possible.

5. Affiliate and Sponsored Content

  1. Trip2gather may host affiliate or sponsored travel-related campaigns.
  2. Sponsored content must include clear disclosure (e.g., “Paid Promotion,” “Sponsored”).
  3. Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their claims.
  4. Trip2gather bears no liability for advertiser misconduct and may remove violating content.

6. External Links and Third-Party Sites

  1. Ads or posts may contain external links.
  2. Once redirected, the external site’s own policies apply.
  3. Trip2gather is not responsible for their security or data practices.

7. Rewarded Advertising

  1. Some ads provide rewards for viewing or interacting.
  2. Reward rules follow each network’s policies.
  3. Trip2gather is not liable for unpaid rewards unless due to its gross negligence.

8. Prohibited Ads

Trip2gather prohibits:

  • Violent, obscene, or discriminatory ads
  • Misleading or deceptive claims
  • Gambling, payday loans, or illegal financial promotions
  • Adult, alcohol, or betting ads targeting minors
  • Political or religious propaganda
  • Fake reviews or manipulated ratings

9. Revenue Transparency

  1. Ad and affiliate revenue funds service maintenance and reinvestment.
  2. All advertiser contracts define exposure terms and compensation in advance.
  3. Any post involving monetary compensation must include “Paid Promotion.”

10. Compliance

  • Korea: Fair Labeling and Advertising Act, Information Network Act, Youth Protection Act
  • USA: FTC Endorsement Guidelines, COPPA
  • EU: DSA, GDPR
  • Japan: Act against Misleading Representations, Telecommunications Act
  • Platform Policies: Google Play Ads Policy, Apple App Store Guidelines

11. User Controls

  • Manage ad preferences in Settings → Privacy → Advertising Options.
  • OS-level “Limit Ad Tracking” controls are respected.
  • Consent may be withdrawn anytime without affecting basic service use.

12. Violations & Reporting

  1. Violating advertisers may face ad suspension or termination.
  2. Repeat offenders are banned from all ad placements.
  3. Users can report inappropriate ads via in-app “Report” or email.
  4. Reports are reviewed within 15 business days.

13. Policy Updates

  • Changes due to law or platform updates are announced 7 days prior.
  • The latest version is available at Trip2gather Website.
  • User rights and obligations are supplemented by Terms of Service.

Effective Date: September 25, 2025
Applies globally across all Trip2gather platforms.
Korean version is the official original.
