Trip2gather Community Guidelines (English Translation — Korean Original Prevails)

These Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) ensure that everyone on Trip2gather (“Service”) can communicate in a safe and respectful environment.
These Guidelines form part of our Terms of Service and may lead to enforcement actions or restrictions upon violation.
They also form part of Trip2gather’s integrated policy framework together with our Privacy Policy and Advertising Disclosure Policy.

The official original language is Korean.
This translation is provided for convenience only. In the event of any discrepancy, the Korean original prevails.


1. Core Principles

  1. Treat others with respect; avoid discriminatory, hateful, or violent expressions.
  2. Trip2gather is a travel & social community; trust and safety come first.
  3. The Company is not legally responsible for user-generated content; it reserves monitoring and enforcement authority for violations within the Service.

2. Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited.

(1) Illegal Activity

  • Promoting or engaging in crime, fraud, gambling, prostitution, or other unlawful acts
  • Unauthorized collection/sharing of others’ personal or financial data
  • Infringement of IP rights (copyrights, trademarks, etc.)

(2) Violent or Harmful Content

  • Violence, self-harm, abuse, cruelty to animals, or other shocking content
  • Sexual/obscene images, videos, or text
  • Sexualization or exploitation of minors

(3) Discrimination, Hate, and Harassment

  • Derogatory remarks based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, etc.
  • Persistent harassment, stalking, or threats targeting individuals
  • Symbols/slogans/advocacy of violent or extremist groups

(4) Misinformation and Spam

  • Dissemination of false or manipulated information
  • Unsolicited ads, spam, phishing links, commercial solicitation
  • Flooding/duplicate posts

(5) Illicit Trading and Monetary Solicitation

  • Illicit trades of accounts, mileage, tickets, etc.
  • Unjust requests such as loans, investment solicitations, forced donations

3. Content Posting Standards

  1. Content must not violate public order or common decency.
  2. When using third-party works, credit the source.
  3. Do not infringe portrait/privacy rights when uploading photos/videos.
  4. External links must not include malware, spam, or harmful elements.
  5. The Company may remove content without notice if:
    • it violates laws or poses legal risks;
    • it incites division/hate in the community;
    • it is advertising, flooding, or repetitive content.

4. Offline Meetings & Safety

  1. Offline meetings (trips, gatherings, etc.) occur solely at users’ discretion and responsibility.
  2. The Company is not liable for accidents, damages, or disputes arising from offline meetings.
  3. For safety, we recommend:
    • Always meet first in public places;
    • Share schedule and location with someone you trust;
    • Do not share sensitive data (private contact, financial, precise location).
  4. If you encounter a risky user, report immediately via the in-app report feature or email.

5. Reporting & Enforcement

  1. Reported content/users may face warnings, restrictions, or suspensions upon review.
  2. Enforcement levels by severity:
    • Level 1: Warning or temporary limitation
    • Level 2: 7–30 days of restricted use
    • Level 3: Permanent suspension or account deletion
  3. Severe violations (e.g., criminal acts, sexual crimes, child abuse) result in immediate permanent suspension.
  4. Users have the right to appeal via email.
  5. Processes follow the “Restrictions and Remedies” section of the Terms of Service.

6. Operating Principles

  1. We respect freedom of expression but will act on content that crosses societal norms.
  2. Data collected during reporting/enforcement is not used beyond policy enforcement.
  3. We respond in compliance with applicable laws (e.g., KR Network Act, EU DSA, US CDA 230).
  4. These principles apply alongside the Privacy Policy.

7. Protection of Minors & Vulnerable Users

  1. Trip2gather is for adults 19+ only.
  2. If a minor is identified, the account is deleted and related data promptly erased.
  3. We immediately report child exploitation, prostitution, or pornography to authorities.
  4. We may cooperate with authorities and pursue legal action in suspected harm cases.

8. Records & Retention

  • Enforcement history is recorded in internal systems (e.g., Firestore).
  • Repeated violations escalate sanctions.
  • Personal data retained up to 2 years, then de-identified.
  • Materials may be provided to authorities for lawful dispute resolution.

9. Regional Supplements

EU/EEA/UK

  • “Notice & Action” process under the Digital Services Act (DSA) for illegal content reports and removals, with prompt feedback.

United States

  • Liability for user content is limited under CDA 230; we cooperate with lawful requests regarding illegal content.

Republic of Korea

  • Compliance with the Network Act, Youth Protection Act, and Sex Trade Prevention Act.
  • Illegal recordings, prostitution facilitation, and gambling are removed immediately and reported.

10. Cooperation Between Operator and Users

  1. A healthy community relies on mutual trust.
  2. Users should report issues promptly; false reports may be sanctioned.
  3. We disclose outcomes transparently and revise policies as needed.

11. Changes & Notices

  • Guidelines may change due to legal, operational, or service updates.
  • Significant changes are announced ≥7 days in advance and take immediate effect when indicated.
  • Latest version at Trip2gather Website.
  • Matters not specified herein follow the Terms of Service.
