This Email and Marketing Consent Policy (“Policy”) defines the procedures for obtaining prior consent and exercising opt-out rights when JAPS (“the Company”) sends newsletters, promotions, and marketing materials to Trip2gather (“the Service”) users.

1. Purpose

The Company provides information and marketing content about Trip2gather via email, push notifications, and in-app messages based on the user’s explicit consent.
This Policy ensures transparency in marketing communications and user choice.


2. Scope

This Policy applies to the following types of marketing communication:

Affiliate Marketing Sponsored promotions, co-branded campaigns

3. Prior Consent (Opt-In)

  1. The Company does not send promotional messages without explicit consent.
  2. Marketing consent is collected separately during signup or in-app settings.
  3. Consent may be obtained separately for each channel (email, push, SMS).
  4. Minors (under 19) cannot provide marketing consent.
  5. Users may withdraw consent at any time.

4. Withdrawal of Consent (Opt-Out)

  1. Users can withdraw consent anytime via:
    • App → Settings → Notifications & Privacy → Marketing Preferences
    • The “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email
    • Contacting legal@trip2gather.app
  2. Requests are applied immediately and completed within 7 days.
  3. Non-promotional messages (e.g., security alerts, transaction updates) may still be sent.

5. Data Collected and Used

6. Third-Party and Partner Marketing

  1. No third-party or affiliate advertising is sent without explicit prior consent.
  2. Any joint marketing requires clear disclosure of sender, purpose, and scope.
  3. Users may revoke affiliate marketing consent anytime.

7. Email Format Requirements

All marketing emails must meet the following standards:

  1. Include “(Ad)” or “Promotion” in the subject line
  2. Sender name: JAPS / Trip2gather Official
  3. Include contact details and sender email
  4. Provide a visible Unsubscribe link or button
  5. Ensure both HTML and plain-text versions contain identical information

8. Compliance and Anti-Spam Laws

The Company complies with global spam and marketing laws:

9. Data Retention and Records

  1. Consent and withdrawal records are securely stored in Firebase and internal systems.
  2. Retained for up to 3 years for legal compliance and dispute resolution.
  3. Anonymized or deleted after retention period.

10. Policy Violations and Enforcement

  1. Upon violation, sending will be suspended and internal review initiated.
  2. Users may report spam or unauthorized ads, which will be addressed within 7 days.
  3. Repeated offenders (advertisers/partners) may be permanently banned.

11. Regional Supplements

European Union (EU/EEA/UK)

  • Marketing follows Opt-In principles.
  • Users have the right to object to profiling (GDPR Article 21).

United States

  • All emails must include an Opt-Out link.
  • Requests are processed within 10 business days.
  • Advertising to children under 13 is prohibited (COPPA).

South Korea

  • “(Ad)” required in subject line under the Network Act.
  • Promotional emails prohibited between 9 PM–9 AM.
  • Complies with e-Commerce Consumer Protection Act.

12. Policy Updates

This Policy may be updated due to legal or operational changes.
Significant changes will be announced 7–30 days in advance via app or email.
