Trip2gather Terms of Service (Korean Original)

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) define the conditions, rights, obligations, responsibilities, and procedures governing the use of the Trip2gather service (the “Service”) operated by JAPS (the “Company”).
These Terms apply globally to all users, subject to the mandatory provisions of each jurisdiction.

Translations are provided for reference only.
In the event of inconsistency, the Korean version shall prevail.

🔗 Integrated Policy Framework
These Terms are applied together with the following policies:


Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and users, as well as all other necessary matters relating to the use of the Service.

Article 2 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)

  1. These Terms become effective when the user agrees during account registration or accesses the Service.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable laws.
  3. Amendments will be notified at least 7 days in advance (30 days for major changes) via in-app notice or email.
  4. Users who disagree may terminate their account. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

Article 3 (Definitions)

  1. “Service” refers to the Trip2gather mobile app, website, and all related features.
  2. “Member” refers to a registered user who has completed signup.
  3. “Guest User” refers to a user who accesses limited features without registration.
  4. “Content” means any text, image, location data, or other material uploaded, posted, or transmitted by users within the Service.

Article 4 (Formation of Service Agreement)

  1. The service agreement is established upon completion of registration and Company approval.
  2. The Company may refuse or revoke approval in the following cases:
    1. False information or use of another person’s identity
    2. Users under 19 years of age
    3. Activities that clearly violate laws or public morals

Article 5 (Provision, Modification, and Suspension of the Service)

  1. The Service includes travel planning, companion matching, community interaction, and location-based features.
  2. The Company may modify or suspend part or all of the Service for operational or technical reasons and will notify users in advance when possible.
  3. Temporary suspension may occur without prior notice due to system maintenance, natural disasters, or network failures.

Article 6 (User Obligations)

Users must not engage in the following:

  1. Identity theft or false information entry
  2. Infringement of third-party rights (copyrights, trademarks, portrait rights, etc.)
  3. Uploading or sharing illegal, obscene, or violent content
  4. Spam, phishing, or illegal transactions
  5. Reverse-engineering, hacking, or disrupting the Service
  6. Violations of laws, these Terms, or the Company’s policies/guidelines

Article 7 (Restrictions and Account Termination)

  1. The Company may issue warnings, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts for policy violations.
  2. Severe violations (e.g., illegal recordings, sexual crimes, child exploitation) may result in immediate permanent suspension.
  3. Data required to be retained under law may be preserved even after account termination.

Article 8 (User Content Rights and Licensing)

  1. Copyright in user-posted content belongs to the respective user.
  2. Users grant the Company a global, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to use such content for operation, backup, display, and technical processing of the Service.
    This license terminates within a reasonable period after account deletion or service termination.
  3. The Company may remove or restrict content violating laws or policies without prior notice.
  4. Reported infringing content will be handled under the Notice & Action procedure (Article 11).

Article 9 (Paid Services, Payment, and Refunds)

  1. Paid services, pricing, and refund terms follow app store policies (App Store, Google Play, etc.) and applicable law.
  2. Refunds are provided in cases of overpayment or service failure; change-of-mind refunds are processed only as permitted by law.
  3. Subscription renewals, cancellations, and withdrawal rights comply with relevant e-commerce and platform policies.

Article 10 (Advertising, Partnerships, and Marketing)

  1. The Company may display advertisements within the Service. See Advertising Policy for details.
  2. Marketing notifications (email, push) are sent only with prior consent, and users may withdraw consent at any time (see Privacy Policy).
  3. Clicking external links is subject to third-party terms and privacy policies.

Article 11 (Infringement Reports and Objections)

  1. Anyone who believes that content infringes their rights may file a takedown request including identity and basis for the claim.
  2. The Company will follow the process: Receipt → Temporary Action (if necessary) → Notification → Opportunity for Response → Final Decision.
  3. The original poster may submit an objection, and failure to provide valid justification may result in permanent removal.
  4. False or malicious reports may result in penalties.

Article 12 (Privacy Protection)

  1. The Company protects users’ personal data in accordance with applicable laws and the Privacy Policy.
  2. In case of conflict, the Privacy Policy takes precedence over these Terms.

Article 13 (Location-Based Services)

  1. Location features are enabled only with explicit consent.
  2. Location data is used solely for travel-related features and deleted upon withdrawal of consent.
  3. Location information provider/operator: JAPS
  4. Processing details follow the corresponding section in the Privacy Policy.

Article 14 (Offline Meetings and Disclaimer)

  1. Offline meetings (travel, gatherings, etc.) are voluntary and at the user’s own risk.
  2. The Company is not liable for any injury, loss, or dispute between users unless due to intentional or gross negligence.
  3. For safety, refer to the Community Guidelines.

Article 15 (Intellectual Property)

  1. All rights to the Service and its components (software, design, logos, UI, etc.) belong to the Company or rightful owners.
  2. Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written consent.

Article 16 (Third-Party Services)

The Service may include third-party links, SDKs, or content. Such services are governed by the respective provider’s terms and privacy policies. The Company is not responsible for third-party services.

Article 17 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Local mandatory consumer protection laws shall prevail where applicable.
  3. The Seoul Central District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, unless otherwise required by law.

Article 18 (Regional Addenda)

(1) European Union / EEA / United Kingdom

  • Complies with the Digital Services Act (DSA) “Notice & Action” mechanism for illegal content.
  • Follows GDPR/ePrivacy (opt-in cookies) and SCC-based international transfer safeguards.

(2) United States

  • Protected under CDA §230 limitations for user-generated content.
  • CCPA/CPRA rights (Do Not Sell/Share, GPC signals) are reflected in the Privacy Policy.

(3) Japan

  • Complies with the Telecommunications Business Act and APPI; maintains records of third-party disclosures.
  • Payment/remittance functions follow the Payment Services Act (PSA).

(4) South Korea

  • Complies with the E-Commerce Act, Network Act, and PIPA.
  • Refunds and withdrawals follow store and legal requirements; mandatory provisions prevail.

Article 19 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Company is not liable for damages arising from force majeure (natural disasters, power outages, network failures, etc.).
  2. The Company is not responsible for damages caused by the user’s own actions.
  3. To the extent permitted by law, indirect, consequential, or special damages are excluded.

Article 20 (Assignment, Severability, and Non-Waiver)

  1. Users may not assign rights or obligations without prior written consent from the Company.
  2. If any provision is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain effective.
  3. Failure of the Company to exercise any right shall not constitute a waiver.

Article 21 (Interpretation and Entire Agreement)

These Terms, together with applicable notices and individual agreements, constitute the entire agreement between the user and the Company.
Matters not specified herein shall follow relevant laws and general business practices.
